Our Story

Big Timber Entertainment was created when Wausau business executive Troy Brown and Nashville producer/music director Mark Oliverius realized they had a superb working synergy and a shared vision to help and nurture emerging young performers succeed in their careers. BTE provides record production, distribution, management and corporate/theater live show production under one roof. 

Meet Managing Partner Troy Brown:

 

Troy Brown is a veteran business executive of a prominent global hardwood lumber company in Wisconsin. The name Big Timber Entertainment is influenced by his passion for the timber industry. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and an MBA with an emphasis In Quality Management.

A guitar player himself, Troy is a life-long music lover of all genres.  His first memories have music tied to them.  Growing up in the heyday of vinyl, as a very small child, Troy would beg his mother to play his favorite records. As he got older and received an allowance, he remembers spending all his money buying 45’s of his favorite songs and play them for hours on a small, portable record player.

Troy and Mark look forward to growing Big Timber Entertainment into a artist-centric powerhouse record label and entertainment company!

 Meet Music Director, Producer & Partner Mark Oliverius:

 

Mark Oliverius is a Nashville based Music & Video Producer, Band Leader, Arranger, Songwriter, and Keyboard Player who was Lorrie Morgan’s Music Director for 18 years. He has also worked with and toured the world  with Major Recording Artists such as Pam Tillis, Mickey Gilley, Joe Diffie, Sawyer Brown, Sammy Kershaw, T.G. Sheppard and Trick Pony to name a few. Mark has had over 40 songs recorded by major label artists including the Joe Diffie Hit “Whole Lotta Gone”. His production company is extremely active producing recording projects, music video, social media content and commercials for his clients. Mark produced Ashton Shepherd's first tracks, which got her signed to Universal Music.  He is lucky enough to be married to his sweetheart Candace Lucchesi!
